Dr Wayne Lawson

MRCGP

After being born and raised in Mandurah, Dr Lawson had a long and varied career as a Registered Nurse working in diverse environments such as Remote First Nations Communities, Homeless Healthcare, Intensive Care, Emergency and as a Director of Nursing at country and rural hospitals.

In 2015 Dr Lawson decided to persue a medical degree at the University of Queensland. Following graduation in 2018, Dr Lawson gained extensive experience in Orthopaedics, Neonatology, Antenatal and Post Natal Care whilst completing his Residency years at the Mater Hospital Brisbane.

Since attaining his GP fellowship in 2024 Dr Lawson continued to practice in Queensland, however, with a young family he has decided to return home to Mandurah to be closer to his extended family in the area.

Dr Lawson is interested in all areas of non-procedural General Practice with a particular interest in Neonatal and Paediatric Medicine as well as mental health care (including assisting people with Neurodiversity [ADHD/ASD etc] to navigate the health system).

He is also highly experienced at Ear Suction and Lavage.
